Bert Vandaele is co-founder of Portomundi, a company digitalising and automating commercial, payment and invoicing processes in terminal logistics. Bringing experience from global industrial player Atlas Copco — where he managed partnerships across road transport companies, ocean carriers, and logistics providers such as Katoen Natie — and now within terminal operations, Bert has built his career at the intersection of operations, digitalisation and commercial partnerships.
At Portomundi, he drives international expansion and commercial strategy, working with leading terminal operators including PSA International, DP World and MPET, and driving growth in Europe and the Americas.
He believes the next wave of efficiency in ports won’t come from single tools — but from connecting actors, and making digital and financial transactions between them more seamless.
