Habbo Cramer is a specialist in the digital transformation of ports, with a strong focus on Smart Port strategies, sustainable infrastructure, and the integration of innovative technologies across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

As Digital Port Strategy Advisor at the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation in Bremen, he is responsible for the conceptual development of the Smart Port strategy of the Bremen ports. In this role, he coordinates flagship initiatives such as Digitale Weser (digital traffic management on the Weser river) and the autonomous ferry prototype Schuppi, while driving automation and digitalisation projects in the maritime and port sectors.

Previously, he contributed at bremenports to the climate neutrality strategy of the seaport and projects on resilient, climate-adapted port infrastructure. Earlier, at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), he worked on the resilience and security of maritime infrastructures. His academic background in Nautical Science (B.Sc.) and Wind Energy Technology (M.Sc.) underpins his technical and scientific expertise.
