Nikolai Kheveli is a Head of Maritime Digital Services Management Unit at Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia (MTA) and leads almost all national digitalization initiatives within the maritime and port industry: maintenance and development of Maritime Single Window, implementation of Port Community system (PCS), data analysis, systems integration and other smart port solutions — to enhance efficiency, safety, and transparency in port operations.
Besides the digitalization, Nikolai is responsible for the Ship Agency and Ship Agents recognition, manages cross-agency collaboration and stakeholder engagement across government authorities, port operators, shipping lines, and IT providers to ensure seamless digital integration within the maritime ecosystem.
His work also contributes to the development of the Middle Corridor, facilitating digital connectivity and interoperability between ports and logistics stakeholders along this strategic transport route.
