Stephanie van den Berg is a professional with a strong focus on strategy, innovation, and sustainability. She currently works as Portfoliomanager Strategy & Innovation and Lead Sustainability at Portbase in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In addition, she represents Portbase in the Executive Committee of IPCSA (International Port Community Systems Association), where she leads the IPCSA Sustainability Working Group.

Stephanie thrives on connecting people and aligning different stakeholders, always working together towards ambitious goals. Her strength lies in building bridges and creating momentum for change, supported by her strong communication skills.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography and Planning, a Master’s in International Development Studies from Utrecht University, and a Post-Master’s in Strategy and Sustainability from the Radboud Management Academy.

Her career started at PostNL, where she managed international parcel products and led new business initiatives. She then joined Geodan as a Business Consultant, advising clients on geo-marketing and managing projects in critical infrastructures.

Since joining Portbase in 2019, Stephanie has been driving the company’s vision and strategy on sustainability. She works on raising awareness, creating insights, and facilitating collaboration — both within the organization and with the wider port community. Her goal is to improve the efficiency and sustainability of logistics chains in Dutch ports through digitalization and data sharing.

At IPCSA, she’s taking this mission to an international level. As lead of the Sustainability Working Group, she focuses on developing guidelines and action plans to make sustainability a core part of Port Community Systems and supply chains around the world.

Stephanie is known for her energy, open-mindedness, and ability to lead in ever-changing environments. Her career reflects a strong mix of strategic vision and hands-on implementation, always with a clear commitment to creating a more sustainable and innovative logistics sector.
