Since 2019, Maarten Boot is Policy Advisor at FEPORT – the Federation of European Private Port Companies and Terminals, which represents the interests of a large variety of terminal operators and stevedoring companies performing operations and carrying out activities in the seaports of the European Union. At FEPORT, Maarten Boot ensures the functioning of the Environment, Safety and Security Committee (ESSC) and the Customs and Logistics Committees (C&LC).
Maarten Boot has studied Political Science (international relations track) and International Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he developed a strong interest in the functioning of the European Union.
