Teemu Erho has been working in various roles within the Cargo Business Unit of Port of Helsinki since joining as a summer intern in 2022. In April 2025, he began working full-time as a Business Analyst after submitting his Master’s Thesis, which was sponsored by Port of Helsinki and completed with distinction.

Teemu is a soon-to-be Master of Science (Technology) in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tampere University. His thesis focused on developing the monitoring and control of port operations using digital tools at Vuosaari Harbour, Port of Helsinki’s main hub for unitized cargo. The study identified key development needs within the Vuosaari port ecosystem and evaluated potential digital solutions to address them.

In his current role, Teemu contributes to accelerating the development of the cargo business at Port of Helsinki, with a particular focus on port digitalization and energy solutions.
