Andreas M. van der Wurff is a maritime professional who began his career with Nedlloyd as a dual educated officer. He spent 25 years at sea sailing in both engineering and nautical capacity. Andreas sailed as Captain in Maersk Line for 8 years before accepting a shore position in Rotterdam at Maersk Europe Ocean Customer Logistics. He represents Maersk in the International Taskforce Port Call Optimization, the Digital Container Shipping Association and the IMO – Global Industry Alliance to Support Low Carbon Shipping (GIA) taskforce, where he is the Chair of the Ship-Port Interface workgroup. Andreas holds a MBA in Shipping and Logistics.
