Dr Jérôme Besancenot, PhD in Computer Science graduate from Paris University, is Digital Transition Project Director for HAROPA PORT (Le Havre, Rouen and Paris Ports) as well as Managing Director for easyport which is a digital startup between HAROPA PORT and SOGET.
Founded in 2022, easyport’s mission is to optimize and make cargo flows more reliable and to ensure an optimum transit time. It is at the service of the port community, delivering innovative solutions to go further in the fluidity of business exchanges. In particular, providing more added value services to develop multimodal transfer, or contributing to better synchronization of actors within ship and cargo operations thanks to data, thus improving port efficiency while allowing activities decarbonization.
Dr. Jérôme Besancenot is Vice-Chairman of the international PROTECT Group inside IPCSA Family dedicated to port process EDI standardization. He is also a regular member of the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) and IMO FAL Committee.
Dr. Jérôme Besancenot has published into IT reviews several papers on computer science. He is also co-author of a book on transactional systems: concept, normalization and products.
