Rob Alexander is the Chief Operating Officer at Southern Ports, and has held that position since February 2020. He oversees the development planning for the ports of Albany, Bunbury and Esperance; the asset management and asset renewal program, and the “future ports’ development of Southern Ports. At Southern Ports has driven an ambitious program of improvement to align asset management practices to the ISO 55000 Standard across a portfolio of more than $1.1 billion of assets. A key objective and enabler for this has been digital asset management and the adoption of technology and innovative solutions to drive value through the balance of risk, performance and cost. Rob holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (with honours), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He has almost two decades experience working in a variety of technical, business development and senior executive roles. He has led teams across a variety of industries and managed a wide variety of service and infrastructure projects and is passionate about customer satisfaction and developing people and aims to build lasting mutually beneficial relationships.
