Sam Salih is Head of 5G IoT Propositions & Commercial at BT’s Division X, the new venture and innovation hub for BT’s Business unit, and is a passionate advocate of 5G IoT as way to drive transformation for UK Industry. Sam is responsible for developing new business models and approaches to drive 5G and IoT-led transformation in partnership with customers, leveraging Private Networks, IoT solutions and Industry 4.0 applications. Prior to joining BT, Sam built the Private Networks unit at VMO2, defining its strategy and successfully leading major wins, including the UK’s first multi-site private network and the first 5G Hospital. Sam also has deep experience within the energy sector from stints at EDF Energy’s Blue Labs and Centrica’s £100m venture fund where he was responsible for driving growth and developing new business models through disruptive innovation.
