Wim D’haeseleer is the Group Director of Information and Operational Technology and Director of Cybersecurity at Terminal Investment Limited Sarl (TiL) since January 2011.
Wim has been instrumental in driving business from both operational and technological standpoints. He oversees and manages technology across TiL’s global terminal portfolio, builds and leads IT teams, oversees technology budgets, and steers business-critical projects. Additionally, Wim served as a Director on the board of various TiL terminals in the USA and Europe.
Wim’s expertise extends to technology advisory, building and coaching local IT teams, and partnering with the Business Development Team. He has successfully implemented large-scale projects, including IT/OT automation programs, system implementations, and cloud migrations. His comprehensive programs cover contingency planning, GDPR compliance, and cybersecurity response. He has managed six Terminal Greenfield projects across six countries and three continents.
Before joining TiL, Wim held various leadership roles, including Chief Information Officer at Desco NV, Manager ICT Department at Nova & Hesse-Noord Natie Stevedoring SA, ICT Responsible at Euronics Belgium NV, and General Manager at Thesign BVBA. He began his career as a Support Manager at DatAction and a Supervisor Maintenance Team at the Volkswagen factory in Vorst.
Wim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
